 Website Update and IT Support

Leiblong and Tidwell gave an update on the website.   Our website is often cited in various radiology journals as being outstanding.  Andrew Biggs with St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas has completed the MIRS website update.   Biggs is an IT specialist and he has offered to continue on in a supportive role and would charge MIRS a rate of $30 per hour as his fee.   Leiblong recommended that Dr. Moore find an IT specialist in Little Rock to handle the website, since she will be the new President.

MIRS Tax Status

John Leiblong has secured a tax ID number for the organization.   He has worked with a tax accountant and an attorney.  The next step is to file with the IRS to obtain our 501(c)3 status.  Leiblong recommended that this be handled in Little Rock by Dr. Moore and her assistant.

 Membership Dues

Based upon the current balance and meeting expenses of approximately $20,000.00 the following recommendation was adopted: Increase membership dues from $150 to $225 for physicians and increase dues from $60 to $75 for nurses and techs. Dues are payable/due three weeks before the meeting date. Late registration/dues will incur $25 more for physicians and $10 for nurses and techs.
